- Peace with Justice Center of Pomona Valley Peace is our ultimate goal, and our calling. We recognize however, that peace is not merely an absence of violence, but the outflow of a society in which justice is pursued and maintained. In turn, justice can only arise when genuine dialogue and understanding between peoples is sought, and non-violence is practiced. It is toward these immediate ends that the Peace with Justice Center was founded, and continues to function. In addition, since silence in the face of injustice makes one complicit in violence, we speak, act and organize to address the injustices found in our community, while simultaneously seeking alternatives that generate justice, and thus foster peace.

Political Blogs
A new and important form of political writing is the web-log or blog. It is something of a diary with several daily entries and links to other interesting internet publications. What the phenomenon has revealed is that there are a significant number of politically astute thinkers and writers who haven't been able to find space in printed media but who, in their blogs, make serious contributions to political discussions. Michael Kinsley, the Op-Ed editor of the LA Times, wrote a piece in that paper in which he declared that blogs are better than print media: swifter and more critical response to ideas and (purported) information. The positive developments of political blogs and the continuing slide of newspapers into a complete lack of critical thought have made it important for people to make a practice of looking daily at some of the best blogs in order to keep up to date.
